CUSTOMER REVIEW: When I find a book I really like, I buy all the books by that author including the new ones as they are published. Some of my favorite authors are John Grisham, Wilbur Smith, Stewart Woods, Lawrence Block (Keller series), Louis L'Amour, Larry McMurtry, Earnest Hemingway, Lee Child, Jeffrey Archer, James Michener, and Mark Twain, to name a few. I just read "Car 006 Responding" by Dorothy May Mercer and intend to buy all the books in the "McBride" series as they are published.
"Car 006 Responding" is action packed and has a great story line. Dorothy did a great job of developing her characters and unrolling the plot. "Lady," the dog, is a brilliant stroke and added to the character development. It had just the right amount of romance and suspense - I couldn't put it down. It was a quick, compelling read with perfect character development for a series. My hat is off to Dorothy, I think she has a winner here and I can't wait for the other four books in the series to be published. Ken Jarman, author of "Barefoot Through the Goathead Patch."
